In December 2004, a local family established a new & cozy Naked Fish Bar & Grill in the southern part of Garapan, along Beach Road. Naked Fish quickly became a popular place to unwind and enjoy happy hour specials and savory eats after a long day’s work. Local favorites, such as the Naked Garlic Fish, Naked Poké and Garlic Octopus, remain on the menu to this day as Signature dishes.  In 2011, the family sold the restaurant to a relative, who expanded the business, doubling its space after some renovation and then eventually moving it to a new location.

To meet demand for space, Naked Fish was moved to a second location on Beach Road, to the central area of Susupe.  Soon after moving, the owner decided upon other business plans and opted to sell Naked Fish Bar & Grill. Adamant that the third owner must be willing and able to carry on the business of Naked Fish, particularly its slogan, Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times, he found that Transcends, LLC, operated by Joe Guerrero and Eleanor T. Cabrera, was the right fit. In September 2014, Transcends obtained full ownership of Naked Fish Bar & Grill.

Naked Fish
2019-present

With the building devastated by damages sustained from Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018, Naked Fish was in need of a new home. After much time and consideration, Naked Fish Bar & Grill found its third location along Micro Beach Road, Garapan. Following several months of renovation, the restaurant reopened with a fresh and modern look but stayed true to a casual bar & grill atmosphere most familiar to its customers. However, not everything was spanking new! In honor of its past and the strength demonstrated by the CNMI people following Yutu, the Naked Fish main and L-bars were framed with the wood from tables and chairs of the old locations, damaged by the typhoon and repurposed with much TLC. The current location with its blend of the past and present is positioned to greet both longtime and new guests alike, ever-ready to serve Good Food among Good Friends to create many more memories of Good Times!

What
our customers say

Great food and good music! If you're looking for a good place to sample some local food, then you have found it. Their menu is large enough for you to find something suited to taste but not so large that you're overwhelmed. They run seasonal specials and "off-menu" items that are always pleasing. Friday nights are best with live music from local talent!

The best on the island! Everything about this place is incredible. The service, to begin with, sets the tone. The friendliest team on the island. Huge props to Reesa, who embodies the Hafa Adai spirit and provides top-notch hospitality. The food is incredible, and anything ordered will be sure to please. OH! And $2.99 Asahi at happy hour. I went twice for dinner on a 4 night trip to Saipan. Can't wait to visit again!

So, this may be yet another “new” location for them but the menu and flavor stays the same. This is why I follow them around the island. They are consistently awesome. Our favorites here are their Garlic parrot fish and poke. Most or all of their dishes are well thought of, plated simply but with care, and most of all, flavorful. Ambiance is as always clean; relax, fun and upbeat esp. when they have live music on. Same familiar and friendly staff as well. Prices vs portion is above average, where kids and/or adults alike can share one order.
